Waiter Surprise will work with you to tailor a package suitable for your wedding, event or function anywhere in the North East!
2. Are you a band for hire for only weddings?
We don’t do just weddings, we have performed at many different events including corporate and celebrations. We can either perform to backing tracks or sing live with a band, we can work with you to make it perfect for your special day.
3. How far in advance should I contact you?
Ideally as soon as you decide on your event! Usually people get in touch anything from a year to a few months in advance.
4. How long have you been doing Waiter Surprise?
Over 30 years as professional performers. We have worked in every kind of venue and event in our collective careers and with that gained a huge amount of experience in entertaining and captivating any crowd!
5. What kind of music do the surprise singing waiters perform?
We play it all! We can play classical, swing, jazz, funk, soul, pop, disco and many more. We cover all genres from dance to opera.
6. Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Yes, sometimes we can work very carefully with our teams to ensure we can bring more than one surprise in one day!
7. If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes, of course! The time is chargeable, but we are more than happy to keep on playing! Solo for extra set £100; band extra set £300; waiters £150; dj £100
8. How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
We need about 1hr for setup then 30 mins for the show. Don’t worry about organising the surprise. We take care of that! We contact the venue, caterers including the chef and head waiter so they are fully briefed! There may be a delay if the performance takes place during the meal or at the end so they will need to build this into their meal preparation for your event.
9. What are the prices for the Singing Waiters?
The price for the singing waiters depends on the event and how big the surprise! Our super surprises start from only £650!
10. What is included in the Waiter Surprise wedding package?
We can bring a Full PA, lights, backdrops, background music, and mics for speeches. We will then perform the First Dance song/music live.
11. Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?
Yes, of course you can! Let us know what song you would like and we hopefully will be able to perform them live or play them by dj
12. Size of group?
We can offer a range of entertainment group sizes for your event. Soloist, small (2 – 3 musicians), medium (4 – 6 musicians), large (7 or more musicians)
13. Are you able to travel to an event?
Yes, we perform mainly in the North East of England, but also will travel to Scotland, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside, Liverpool and even as south as London! There is a charge for travel depending on location.
14. What is the length of time of the act?
Solo show 2 x 1hr shows; band 2 x 45 mins; singing waiters 1 x 30min; 1hr waiting tables; dj 7hr
